Today was Fish Day!  Center time was in all five kindergarten classrooms.  What a treat to visit the other classrooms!  An amazing aquarium in the kindergarten hallway was created with all the artwork.

Superfish Presented by Mr. Mussellman

Today Mr. Musselman visited the K classes.  Mr. M. told us scientists sort animals into two groups, vertebrates and invertebrates. We belong to the vertebrate group because we have a backbone.  Mollusks belong to the invertebrate group because they do not have backbones.  He talked to us about the animals we will see at the aquarium.

Like all birds, penguins have feathers and beaks.

 Here's a sea star.

Mollusks belong to the invertebrate group because they do not have backbones.  Take a look at these mollusks; mussel, oyster, clam and scallop shells.
