Middlesex Fells Field Trip

Our first stop was the meadow.  We released the last of our butterflies.  Daddy longlegs were easy to find.

We made our way to the pine forest for snack.  In the pine forest we spotted lady slippers and found a garter snake.

Next stop was the pond.

Magnetism

We are learning about the power of magnets.  Using bar magnets and horseshoe magnets, we tested  a rubber band, wood, cork, paper clip, foil, fastener, a screw, and plastic to discover which materials  are attracted magnets.  A big thank you to Mr. Mussellman for an amazing presentation on magnets.
